Navy Bean Soup with Turkey Sausage
This soup satisfies ! Delicious, nutritious and stick to your ribs goodness. Beans , veggies and meat -all cooked in one pot, ready to eat in about 20 minutes.
- 3 cans of navy beans COST – $2.70
- 1 turkey sausage link chopped COST – $1.20
- 1 medium onion chopped COST – $1.00
- 1 small bag of carrots chopped COST – $.89
- 1 stalk of celery chopped COST – $1.49
- 1 Swanson organic chicken stock COST – $ 2.99
- 2 Tbsp of Italian seasoning
- 2 Tbsp of canola oil . . . these are staples in the kitchen to me
- salt and pepper to taste
Total cost $10.27 . . . not bad . . .
First on medium high heat, add oil to pot, add celery, carrots and onion . Saute and add 2 Tbsp of Italian seasoning, next add turkey sausage. Stir until sausage browns a little, add chicken stock and beans. Add salt and pepper to taste, turn heat down to medium low and let simmer 15 minutes. . . .done !
